Old Delhi Building Collapse

New Delhi: The Katra Data Ram Ki Haveli in Chandni Mahal area near Jama Masjid collapsed Tuesday around 8 p.m. Tuesday. Total Number of death on Wednesday was seven and 25 are injured.It was a three-story building and the Rescue operation are still going on to help the injured people.

As the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), fire brigade officials and the National Disaster Response Force are coordinating with each other in the rescue operation, police cordoned off the area.

Except the two unidentified people, the dead included 40-year-old Arshad and four women: Tabassum, 18, Shauqat Bi, 65, Fatima, 65, and Munni Devi, 70, who were declared brought dead at the Lok Nayak Hospital.

Fire officals said that the building was collapsed due to the digging work in the adjacent under construction house.

Union Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal visited the injured peoples in the hospital and three of them are in critical situation.
